Years back in a building in Bonny Town, there was this tenant who lived several years bringing in and out all shapes and sizes of women. Later it was confirmed he already has a family (A wife and kids) in another part of the town and his family was unaware of this other apartment in which he brought in those women. His landlady lives in the capital of the state, they only communicated on phone or physically whenever she travelled to Bonny. On several occasions he even tried to add his young and beautiful landlady to his list of women but was rejected. One day, the caretaker of the building called his landlady and told her that the tenant had relocated and accepted someone else into his former apartment who also has a family and from whom he collected rents annually by claiming he was the caretaker of the building and responsible for sending the rents to the landlady. He collected higher rents from the new occupant and paid lower rent to the landlady who didn’t know he had relocated until the day the caretaker called. The landlady got to know about this because he again increased the rent to a far higher amount than normal, it was at this point the new occupant went to the caretaker and told him he could sense something fishy in all these since he doesn’t receive messages from the landlady as other tenants do and this was when the caretaker also understood the situation and made the revealing call.Later, the former tenant not knowing his misdeed has been revealed went demanding the new rent from the new occupant and was referred to the landlady whom he refused to speak with, even when the landlady called, he had the audacity to pick offence because she told him the new occupant will no longer pay rents to him but to her. His argument was that it was he who brought in the new occupant and the payment was an agreement between them. What an audacity! He even claimed to had done some extra jobs in apartment while he was still living there, therefore the landlady has to compensate him for that otherwise he will have to keep collecting rents from the new occupant, omg!The rent he paid in pretense to the landlady was remaining six months to expire, in order to settle the matter amicably, the landlady told him to provide his bank account details to her for her to refund him the balance of the rent which was remaining six months to expiration, yet he refused. She then reminded him his rent will be exhausted after the six months and will no longer be refundable, yet he refused to provide his bank details. He remained silent for six months and suddenly the new occupant was arrested one evening by the police because of the former tenant. Instead of the police to arrest the former tenant for such act instead the new occupant was almost jailed and forced to sign an undertaking stating when he would pay the sum of fifty thousand (50,000) naira which was the amount for the rent as a refund to the former tenant as demanded by the former tenant. The police instructed the new occupant to collect the amount from the landlady himself and give to the former tenant. What a life!Even though the landlady refused such payment, the new occupant insisted he will pay to avoid further issues. The landlady being a Godfearing and kind woman, gave thirty thousand (30,000) naira and the new occupant completed added twenty thousand (20,000) naira. This was how the matter was settled.Few weeks later, the landlady received missed calls from the former tenant which she didn’t return.
What do you think made him called?
What details of your life could you pay more attention to?
My mental state and God
MY SECOND TIME ON FLIGHT
The plane began to dance
Like it was running in gravels
Or like a boat on a rough sea
As it lifts itself shortly in the sky
Fifteen minutes in the sky
And God to said to me, Aha! I’ve caught you!
Suddenly the cloud overcasted
Like a darkened smoke from a blazing fire
I have never witnessed such a cloud
Right from my mother’s womb
Thereafter, the sky began to weep
I couldn’t tell whether angrily or bitterly
Because at that moment
My heart was invisible in my hands
On flight,
Overcasted cloud,
And weeping sky
These were my enemies onboard
The reason for my aerophobia
The plane continued to dance
It swung its body sideways
Left to right
Right to left
Like a fish playing in a river
O Lord, have mercy upon me!
O Lord, have mercy upon me!
A man sitted with his little son in front of me shouted
O Lord, have mercy upon us!
Another voice at the far front shouted
Almost every voice continued similarly
However, the loudest of the all,
The man sitted with his little son in front of me
His two little daughters chatted playfully,
Sitted in front of him
His wife calmly sitted adjacently on his left,
Tapped his thigh intermittently in consolation
As she continued with a devotional song
Look at those kids happily playing
My sister sitted beside me by the window on my right,
Pointed calmly and politely scoldingly
As my eyes began to leak waters
Suddenly the plane reversed
To the direction it was going from
And circled the Benin River
Shortly after, it reversed to the direction it was going
And it began to dance
Like it was running in gravels
Or like a boat on a rough sea
However, this time intensely
And the voices continued
The man sitted with his little son in front of me,
The loudest of them all
Suddenly it reversed again
To the direction it was going from
And circled the Benin river
Shortly after, it reversed to the direction it was going
And again it began to dance
Swung itself sideways
Left to right
Right to left
Like a fish playing in a river
And suddenly reverted to the direction it was going from
And circled the Benin river again
While the voices continued
The man sitted with his little son in front of me,
The loudest of them all
Again it reversed to the direction it was going
Even though it didn’t dance this time
The voices continued,
However, in lower tones
Until we heard,
WELCOME TO LAGOS,
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
FOR YOUR SAFETY AND SAFETY OF THOSE AROUND YOU
PLEASE REMAIN SEATED WITH YOUR SEATBELT FASTENED,
AND KEEP THE AISLES CLEAR UNTIL WE ARE PARKED AT THE GATE
A female voice echoed through a microphone
Incidentally, I turned to my left
This young lady with airpods in ears,
Still asleep like an infant
From the moment she sat from departure
Can this even be real?
I thought to myself
While we gave a standing-ovation,
Honourably to the pilot
As we prepare for exit

Janet! From inside his room
Her grandpa's voice sounded
Almost immediately her grandpa is at the sitting room's door same moment as her
Who wore this shirt of mine?
He asked hold up a beautiful brand new yellow shirt
Not me, Papa she replied
And his momentarily gaze told her,
I KNEW YOU WOULD DENY
As he goes to her sister and asked,
Who wore this shirt Sherry?
Not me Papa, Sherry replied
Of course I knew it wasn't you my dear
I knew Janet was the one who wore it
He continued into his room with verbal abuses
However, she still remembered how Sherry excitedly told her about Grandpa's new shirt she tried on
And how it fits perfectly on her
Even if she told him the truth,
Bad child that's what you are!
You are wicked!
You are envious of your sister!
Would have been his response,
she thought
If only sherry didn't fold the shirt inward out
Papa never would have known
Though years have past
She still reminisces this
And it hurts so bad
In the dance arena
As the audience watched the sisters danced
In their traditional ceremonial attires
They both glitter in the gold jewelries
Adorned heavily on their necks, ears and wrists
They seem like princesses beautified for their princes yet unknown
Nevertheless, thus was the actual tradition in the time of their ancestors
Maidens beautified in Coral Beads and gold jewelries intermittently
Their skins treated traditionally with organic skincare for glow
They only sleep and served meals intermittently daily in three months
No other eyes must see them except for the women who bath them and treat their skins with the organic skincare
And of course those who serve them meals too
Few cousins and aunts secured their duty posts
You didn't tell us your other family would be here
The sourvenirs are finished,
One of the aunts said
She gestured to one of her cousin at her duty post
Please serve some sourvenirs to my family,
She said as her cousin approached
And thank God the deed was done!
The ceremony continued
After the dance at the arena
At home the tired yet excited audience cheers in between chatters
As they wait for another service of food and drinks
Most cousins and aunts shared sourvenirs
Even to the invited and non-invited guests
While some family friends though not her's
Secured their positions of duty still
I need one of these sourvenirs,
She said to one of the cousins
These are not for family,
Was her reply
As the cousin takes one of the sourvenirs for herself
Which she held under her ampit
As she serves
Few years gone by and she wants to visit in Christmas 🎄🎁
Christmas was almost at hand
Has Frey left my room?
She asked her mom on phone
What happened to your father's house?
Was her mom's reply
Oh! Okay I've heard you, ma
I will save this for the future
She replied
So this is real?
She thought to herself
When she told me,
I have no home here
